Default Sponsor the website for a day!

    Hi everyone,

We've just rolled out a brand new way to support the Observatory, aimed especially at the folks that frequent our website on a regular basis.

Now, in the upper-left corner of every page of our website (minus the forums), you have the ability to sponsor the website for a day and post a short message. Sponsorship gifts can be made to commemorate a birthday, celebrate a big event, honor a loved one, salute a special person or whatever you'd like to do.

The minimum sponsorship gift is $25, although we've determined that it takes $82/day to fund this website and all the complexities of delivering webcams, weather data and educational content to you in this attractive, compelling way. If you wish to go bigger than $25, by all means do so!

If you frequent the website, contribute in the forums, enjoy the photos, benefit from our online forecasts and religiously visit the webcams every day, then we invite you to make a small contribution to help us deliver this valuable service to you around the clock every day.

If I've instantly moved you to give, then waste no time and head right here!

    Thanks so much,

    Scot Henley

Since each sponsorship entry has to be moderated by staff (sadly, a necessity), you have to pick a date that is at least one week out. Sorry!

Sponsor OUR website for the Day....Great idea!!!!

Today's sponsor (me) is saluting all Kilted Hikers...see you at STP11..See top of the MWO website...

I also wanted to give a shout out to the Summit crew(s), interns and volunteers but, there is limit to what you can say in the sponsorship SO, I'll say it here for free...

I think the unofficial mark is 30 where a Base layer is acceptable. Might be some sort of bonus point for each degree below freezing that it's worn proper thought.

I never want to see a day
    That's over forty degrees
    I'd rather have it thirty,
Twenty, ten, five and let it freeeeEEEEEEeeze!
