    Cool Fishing around Mount Washington

    Hi Guys,

My name's Hank Roberts and I'm crazy about fishing. I'm due to visit the area this summer and wondering whether anybody can tell me about the best spots to go fishing and what I can expect to catch?

    Thanks

    Hank

No fishing fans here? Sorry Hank, some great Rainbow and Brook Trout fishing throughout the area thanks to the stocking efforts of State of NH. Google "White Mountains NH fishing". The NH Fish and Game " fish trucks" have been really busy over the last few weeks.

http://www.northcountryangler.com/ is a great place to start.

The peabody, ellis and ammonoosuc surround the mountain, and have great wild stock in their headwaters, and stocked fish as the rivers widen. The gold standard rivers are the saco and androscoggan, both have special regulation water within a half hour of the auto road. Any small stream in the whites is bound to have a bounty of wild 4 to 8 inch brookies...and it can be easy to have 50 fish days. Bring your barbless hooks!
