Obviously a moving target right now being so far away, but Accuweather is showing a high of 84 and a low of 50 in the Jackson area for the 23rd! Looks like tons of sunshine too.

I wondered when this thread was going to get started...I have been tempted myself. Last year the Obs staff made it very clear that the only weather report you could rely on was theirs, issued about 24 hours in advance...of course last year they predicted rain which didn't materialize until well after the festivities were over.
I guess technically they're are still weathermen!
Regardless of the weather, and the last two years has been socked in on the summit, I can't wait!!!

Ah, but once again last year after several years of sterling forecasts and equally sterling days Ryan has earned his position as official STP forecaster. Hope you've got a good one in store for us again this year Knapper! No matter what, see you on top!

I knew it...it was only a matter of time until someone started a thread asking
"what's the weather going to be for STP" or "looking ahead at the forecast for STP weekend...
it's 11 days out...where's the magic 8 ball when you need it
RK are you the official STP forecaster?

Thanks for starting this thread Karl. If Ryan can issue an official STP forecast like AccuWeather is predicting, that would be simply awesome!!!

I never want to see a day
That's over forty degrees
I'd rather have it thirty,
Twenty, ten, five and let it freeeeEEEEEEeeze!

WOW! I had no idea this was a controversial thread from years past. If I knew that, I would have left it for one of the veterans of STP to start! I agree with Chris, I'm sure the MWObs weather report 24 hours before will be the most accurate and helpful...but it's fun to keep an eye on through Accuweather
BTW - Now its looking like high of 89 and low of 65. The sun is now gone and it is mostly cloudy....how is this not fun!!!

As of now I might be doing a early Friday moring hike instead of Sat. and it is looking really nice. 89 and sunny...

Although, like some have said, it is much too early to get a very accurate forecast, for the past two days, the runs for the 23rd show a cold front sweeping through that will increase clouds and bring about the chance for showers and afternoon thunderstorms. But, so far it does appear that the temperatures for the day will be quite mild either in the 40s or 50s. More to come as the date approaches...

Thanks Ryan!!!
We'll keep our eyes tuned to the Obs Weather Forecast. Sound like it might be similar to the last couple of years.
