Talk at the Highland Center: Saturday, August 13, 7:30pm

The girls and I will be at the Highland Center this Saturday night talking about our adventures on the White Mountain trails. This talk is geared towards parents and children; it's a part of the AMC's Family Adventure Weekend. If you're in town, c'mon by! It's a casual affair, kids of all ages are welcome.

Funny, I can't really promote this talk except for this mention and a blog post. I can't do any press or media announcements on anything having to do with me or the girls until close to the book's launch (April 2012). The publishers feel that any press now will mean a lack of press later (if you're not a celebrity, then once the media covers you, they generally don't want to cover you again for a long while). The publishers want lots of press later, when the book comes out, so the attention will translate into sales.

Last time, we had 20 people (not including my family). That was nice, the girls had a good time and it was an enjoyable evening. Looking forward to this Saturday; whether there are 5 people or 500, it'll be a fun night.
