What a perfect evening it was at the summit last night for the Sunset Soiree! It was great to meet and talk with everyone, and I hope to attend again next year!

Looks nice. Congrats on the auctions too.
The photos are fantastic. I so wish I could have been there last night. I second Bill's comment on the auction. For $1000 the buyers all got a bargain!

Nice photos Jim.
My photos from the evening are at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...897.1066090948 - This was my first Sunset Soiree and it will not be my last. We loaded up cars and vans and drove up the mountain. Then people fanned out to wander all over the summit. Desert and champagne were served in the State Park area of the Sherman Adams building while others of us watched the almost full moon rise in the east. The summit shadow slid across Wildcat and the slight bit of clouds to the west helped give us a wonderful sunset.
I met several people from my Facebook list I had never met in person before. We all chatted, roamed and enjoyed the sunset. Then a ride back down to Wildcat ski area for a fantastic catered dinner put on by Thompson House Eatery in Jackson. What a wonderful meal!
Yes, the sunset and dinner were wonderful. Having a chance to talk with folks was fun. But, it is wonderful to see 150 people get away from their TV sets and go outside to watch a sunset. How great is that? And the sunset we saw was perfect. This was an excellent way of supporting the Observatory.
