    Default Mt. Whiteface, 11/25

Beautiful views from Whiteface today...only one other couple on the trail and they turned around once it started getting steep. Wasn't expecting such a difficult climb, but it was fun and a great way to work off all the food from yesterday!

    Default Great report!

Great report and photos! I've heard people scoff at the NH 4k's. Sure, there's bigger, more majestic mountains all over the world, but I'll say this: It is my experience that none of the NH 4k's are easy. They all require dedication and fortitude to achieve their summits and in certain conditions can be quite difficult. Each summit is an achievement and something to be proud of. Good work and good attitude about risk taking!

KDT: I agree with you 100%...by no means have any of my hikes been easy. Always a challenge, and always a nice reward. Who needs bigger mountains when we have the most beautiful National Forest here in New England?

    Thanks for checking it out.
