It is time to start thinking about snow. Well, we have plenty of time to think about summer still its time to start looking towards the summit of Mt Washington for the first signs of winter to appear. Therefore, this is the official kickoff post for the First Snowfall on the Summit Contest.
The rules are:
Select the day when the daily F6 report shows 2.0" or more of snow for that date.
There can only be one entry for a day. Whoever gets their post in first has that date.
If your date has past and there has not been 2.0" or more of snow, you are out - in the cold.
You may only enter once.
The official snow date will be verified from the F6 report.
Employees of any organization with "Washington" in its name will be given special consideration and will be allowed to enter.
If you work for a company that alters the weather, makes snow over 6,000 feet, or can move mountains to be under snow clouds - you are not allowed to enter.
There is no close date to the contest. Good luck everyone and may the best guess win!
