Snow Types
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best. And always look on the bright side of life.
Don't know how many types have been observed, but as far as preference it would depend on activity ... skiing (soft snow powder), snowpeople building (rolly and slightly wet snow), eating (snow cone:)

Haven't been in The Whites yet this winter, but the light fluffy type is my favorite. Good for snowshoeing, and easy to clear off the cars and walks.

I never want to see a day
That's over forty degrees
I'd rather have it thirty,
Twenty, ten, five and let it freeeeEEEEEEeeze!

For those days when I've had a hard day at work, I prefer a heavy crud for its deep earthy taste and its tactile feel. However, when I am one with the world, which is most of the time, I prefer Zastrugi for its delicate bouquet and artistic texture.![]()
To be perfectly honest, after expending 8+ hours of clearing 30 inches of snow today behind a snow-blower, I'll take powder any old day of the week.
Thank goodness for ibuprofen.![]()
