Only one person remains in the hunt. Will we see the first 2 inches by the 27th or will the guesses need to start up again? We shall see!

It's hard to believe that October has been such a lean month for any snow accumulation this year. I tried my best for 10/10!

I never want to see a day
    That's over forty degrees
    I'd rather have it thirty,
Twenty, ten, five and let it freeeeEEEEEEeeze!

Many of us Auto Roadies were talking about this over the last several weeks. I've only got 10 years under my belt so I'm still a newbie, but this Fall has been universally recognized among our staff as unusually mild and and downright balmy for the most part. Used to be we expected a good pasting of white stuff just about Fryeburg Fair time, leading to iconic photos of peak foliage color below treeline with solid white above 4300 feet. Indian Summer was what we referred to as having a Columbus Day Weekend open to the summit. This fall, we had a very few minor hiccups that delayed opening, and of course our last Day 10-20- 13 we were only open to halfway due to snow and rime. I don't remember any Fall season in the 10 years when the dahlias, zinnias and other annuals in the Tollhouse flower bed were still brilliant on closing day. Usually they've been long to the compost pile.
