    Default Liberty trail Mt Chocorua

    Hi Everyone:
I have been reading up on various trails that would take you up to the summit of Chocorua, my sister and I are looking to hike it at the End of May. So far the Litberty Trail looks like it would be our best option, the others look like they would be a bit more then we could handle. Has anyone taken this trial up before and what did you think of it?

    Thanks...

Kathy I hiked Chocorua last summer via the Piper Trail which is 4.5 one way, so yes in my opinion the Liberty is probably your best option.

Yes, Kathy, I would recommend Liberty. It is probably the easiest, most direct route, with just a short scramble near the summit. The Rhodora and many wildflowers should be in bloom!

Thank you Kevin, I've been through a lot the last couple of months and not sure if I'll be up to hiking next month, but this is something that I really want to do, so I'm planning for it. I would have liked to take the Champney Falls Trail, but from what I've read on different sites, this looks best.

What is a good and up to date site for hiking trails up that way?
