Cool New Data Network

Did anyone see this week's ObsCast? Jon was talking about their expanded mountain top data network. More sites and more data from the current Auto Road sites.

I'm guessing work on these stations will begin in the next few weeks, but does anybody have more specifics? Besides a few brief comments in the past there isn't much information about this project.

i think i saw something on the site a couple months ago mentioning weather stations in the presidentials and an expanded one at lakes. could be thinking of something else, though.

Yep, that's the one I was talking about. Just a few observer comments on the topic, and not much other information.

I heard last summer about work to get data from different hut locations. An expanded "view" would be nice.

More talk of the new data in the latest Windswept.

I've pieced together some theories.

Weather data from Lakes of the Clouds, Cog Base, and maybe the top of Bretton Woods all relaying to the summit via Bretton Woods and the new Presi Cam.

In terms of premium content there is lots of talk of "more to come." Maybe this will be part of the package. I've also heard rumors of expanded data and graphs from the Auto Road Vertical Temperature Profile
