Ok all of you living in NH, lets hear some storm reports!

Here in North Florida we had a few severe T-storms roll through after 3:00 am (4/15) knocking out power for several hours. After that all day today we had W to NW winds in the mid 20s with gusts in the low 30s. Not your norm down here. temps to fall into the mid 30s tonight.

This morning Southern Maine, rain and winds, temperature is 42 degrees sustained winds of about 15 mph, mostly out of the southeast, but swirling around at times, with highest gust so far of 25 mph here...

Sounds a lot louder out there, we'll see what daybreak brings!

We live 3200 feet above sea level on one of the mountain tops in SW Virginia and this intense storm roared through our area yesterday. We went from heavy rains to blizzard-like snow. One report stated this was equal to a land version of a CAT 1 hurricane.

Even though this is one of the more memorable storms in wind intensity (with gusts most likely in the 60+ mph range), it's always a lot tougher on Mt. Washington and here's hoping the crew battens down the hatches there and stays safe

Through 7 p.m. Sunday evening, New York City received as much as 5.5 inches of rain. More rain is likely overnight as the center of the storm heads toward the city. Urban and street flooding is significant, and travel disruptions, massive. The swath of 3-to-6-inch flooding rain will encompass southern New England overnight and Down East Maine by Monday.

The most far-reaching effect of the storm will be the belt of high winds sweeping the East from New England to the Carolinas along with eastern Canada. While the worst of the storm will end Monday, improvement in the weather will be slowed during the week by the stubborn eastward drift out to sea.

New York City is pushing 10 inches of rain so far.

I'm not sure what I got, still need to check the rain guage. I do know that the pressure here bottomed out at 28.63" or 969mb

So much for the 1-1/2 foot of snow in the Mount Washington Valley. Although it looked promising yesterday afternoon with a few inches on the ground in the Conway area, it turned to rain early evening, and hasn't stopped since. Actually, it's more of a wintry mix, with the occasional ice pellets. Winds have started picking up in the Valley the last couple of hours as well. The Saco is still well below flood stage, and according to NWS is expected to crest by tomorrow morning in the action (but not flood) stage.

Update #2: Winds have now peaked out at 156 mph today, which the crew believes, at a quick glance of the records, is only the 3rd Category 5 strength wind since 1996!

On October 30, 2006 the summit hit 158 mph.

Looks like the Observatory lost their internet connection last night. No updates since 915pm on the 16th.

Yes they have lost connection amongst other things. Since the building was made for the the strong NW winds these east winds from the storm has really taken a beating up there. Instruments are bent and things are so out of whack.
Hope they can get things back up and running soon.
