"The Cascade Brook Trail", in the Notch, December 27, 2006

This trail was pretty simple. I remember it because it was so beautiful. We didn't really get any snow yet down in Concord and I was itching to put the snow shoes on. When I started up on the trail there was no snow to speak of, so I just had on my hiking boots with Stabilicers. (There was ice) As I got higher up, it began to snow. It was wonderful. I'll never forget this short but scenic hike. The snow really gave it a nice touch. Just me, the snow coming down, the water falls and the hike......."Life doesn't get any better then this"!

Hey Joey...Cascade Brook in Waterville? We spent Thanksgiving Day '05 hiking to that cascade eating turkey sandwiches with all the fixings! Best Thanksgiving we ever had! It snowed the entire time we were out there and we never saw another person. Absolutely beautiful! Then we went to watch Santa arrive by dog sled!

No not that one. (That's nice too!) Smarts Brook is cool also in Waterville Valley.

This one starts with the Pemi Trail, in the Franconia Notch.

I try to ascend Washington at least once per month, year round. It gives me an inner peace that cant be described. On April 14th I ascended Mt. Washington in the fog & with undercast skies. On our descent the skies opened up & this is what I saw........

Hey Brad.....I hope to do it at least once in my life time!
It's a long story, but I had a very bad car accident back in 2000.
I'm lucky to even be hiking at all. That's why I only do day hikes
and I'll probably never get to do a 4,000 footer.
The most I've done is about 2,600-ish.

That's OK though....there's plenty out there for me to hike!

Hey Joey...Cascade Brook in Waterville?

Hey Rich........ I found the CD with my pix and videos of it. Fall of 2006.
It's called, Cascade Path and it branches off the Drakes Brook trail in Waterville Valley.
Here's 2 photos of my wife Margaret and I. The video had to be edited to 100MB. It originally
was over 150MB, but PhotoBucket will only allow you 100 or under.
