2006-2007 DayTrip and EduTrip Calendars are Released
Climbing a mountain in winter is a great experience. But what if you climb the mountain on the back of a 12-passenger Bombardier snow tractor. And what if that mountain is Mount Washington, home of the world's worst weather? Then you must be talking about Mount Washington Observatory's unique winter trips to the summit.
Mount Washington Observatory's exclusive winter
EduTrips and
DayTrips are offered once again in the winter of 2006-2007, giving members of the mountaintop weather Observatory the one-of-a-kind chance to experience the brut force of a Mount Washington winter furst-hand. EduTrips are overnight visits to the summit, featuring an educational component. EduTrip themes include mountain photography, weather basics, geology, ecology and much more. DayTrips are one-day round trip visits to the Observatory via snow-tractor, including lunch and a behind-the-scenes tour of the summit weather station.
