Small Car Owners Raise Big Money for Two New Hampshire Charities

$14131.23 donated to Two New Hampshire Charities: Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Hampshire and the Mount Washington Observatory
Essex, MA – The board of MINIsOnTop announced this year’s charities will share $14,131.23, thanks to the efforts of MINI Cooper owners and their families that attended the 6th annual MINIsOnTop car event. The Mt. Washington Observatory will receive $888.57 (6.288% - honoring the mountain’s elevation) of the total raised with the rest, $13242.66, going to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Hampshire. MINIsOnTop total charitable efforts have now broken the $50,000 mark.
The money allows the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Hampshire to grant at least one additional wish for a New Hampshire child with a life-threatening medical conditions as well as help to offset the increased costs of basic scientific research the Mt Washington Observatory is known for world-wide. A major source of money was the raffle of a two-year lease on a new MINI Clubman donated by Herb Chambers MINI of Boston. Another source was New Country MINI in Hartford who donated $6.288 for each person to attend an Ice Cream social. The rest was raised through the sale of MINIsOnTop mementos and door prize tickets used to win items donated by various individuals and businesses.
