After a mid-level disturbance swings through today, high pressure will grab hold of the weather for the remainder of the forecast period. The passing shortwave will keep the summits in and out of fog for the first half of today, with clear conditions becoming increasingly dominant during the afternoon and evening hours. As winds shift towards the north tonight and the disturbance lifts out, drier and more stable air will intrude, keeping conditions generally clear and chilly. The sun will shine nearly unabated for most of the day tomorrow under the influence of high pressure, with only high cirrus clouds to dim its glow due to the continued presence of an upper-level trough.
