“The Mount Washington Observatory Weather Station is closed to tours and summit volunteers this summer as part of our response to the coronavirus pandemic. We apologize that these member benefits are currently unavailable and we will update this page with any changes as we work with our partners on the summit.
The Weather Discovery Center in North Conway is currently closed to the public. We would encourage anyone interested in using their ASTC Passport Program benefit to contact individual museums and science centers before visiting as many have closed or changed their operations.
We appreciate your support during this difficult time and hope you will continue to enjoy our camera views of the summit and surrounding mountains available on our Premium Content - only available to members.”

Science Society Membership
Scientific research is a core facet of Mount Washington Observatory’s mission, and fundamental to its long-term
success. The Mount Washington Observatory Science Society, the highest level of Observatory membership, ensures that
the Observatory's scientific efforts will be able to continue long into the future.
In addition to the standard member benefits, Club Level benefits and President’s Club benefits, Science Society
members are given unique access to the research being performed on Mount Washington. Each year, the Director of Research
and colleagues from partner organizations offer an inside look at Mount Washington Observatory research, providing
unpublished insights, notes from the field, and a special preview of future investigations.
Science Society members are the Observatory’s most passionate supporters—people who are proud of Mount Washington
