Even as the High pressure continues to build back into the region and the previous trough finally exits, there is still enough surface and low-level moisture that cooler northerly flow is forcing it up and forming clouds over at the summits.  This will be the case for today except there will also be slight chance for some upslope rain showers as some moisture swings south as it rotates around the backside of the previous Low.  That plume of moisture will start to clear out of the region tonight and high pressure will take over.  As the summits start to clear, temperatures will drop below freezing overnight.  The summits will be clearing throughout the night, eventually becoming in the clear Wednesday morning.  Clouds aloft will also dissipate as winds shift to northeasterly flow.  At this point on Wednesday afternoon, a dry air mass will be situated in New England with the crest of the High to the north over Quebec. Even with high pressure building, there will still be some lower level clouds as some moisture wraps around the backside of the previous Low out of the north.  Clouds will stick around throughout the day today leaving partly sunny skies, but by tonight, the skies will begin to clear out leading to sunny skies on Wednesday.  With all that day-time heating temperatures will climb back up but still feel crisp as this new air mass from the High will be much drier.
